About Brenda

In 2006, when I turned 50, I received the biggest surprise of my life!  I knew it would probably be the time menopause might start but I was 

feeling GREAT!  I was starring on Broadway in CHICAGO The Musical, happily married and embarking on a new business adventure called BBRAXTON . . . Exceptional Grooming for Exceptional Men.  I soon realized it didn't matter how great I felt or looked. Once I turned 50 the world looked at me differently. ESPECIALLY in the entertainment community. While I noticed small changes in my body and sometimes my mood, the world was prepared to write me off or move me to the "Oh she's over fifty and dried up" phase. Well I was not going gentle into that  good night!!

Unfortunately, even in 2006, menopause was still spoken of in hushed tones and looks of  "oh you poor dear, it's just downhill from here." 

I was waiting for a "Hot Flash" and I received it in the form of my idea for PAUSE by BBRAXTON. 

Many women are still embarrassed to talk about menopause and what they might be experiencing. There is so much false information floating around not to mention all the ridiculous myths!! But recently positive informative conversations have been happening more and more. Even Oprah is talking about it! So what better time to launch PAUSE by BBRAXTON?!
